Well! What a fantastic year we've had at Centrestage, we've had so much excitement and fun learning and practicing lots of performance skills and working with some of our new members too.
We created and developed our own theatre show from scratch - 'Pome-Janet in Sapphire City' which was excellent, we also had our friends and family come and watch at the end of term! We learned lots about developing and honing our vocal skills through singing, breathwork and music.
We had lot of moments of presentation work, where children learned and practiced presenting to the rest of their peers as well as our very exciting new avenue of introducing professional auditions! We have even had a few students submitted for some top industry opportunities.
Whats next...?
In 2025 we really look forward to continuing to develop essential creative skills and performance fun. Additionally, we are really excited about our new focus group for our more advanced Centrestagers where we will be focusing on enhancing and building performance techniques and skills such as public speaking, audition technique, staging, set design, writing for theatre, scriptwork, character analysis and more.
We also look forward to continuing our partnership with Thames Life in offering more FREE live performances as well as reaching into a wider network to expand our mission into the community further.
We have lots of plans to expand Centrestage into wider areas of the community next year and we hope you’ll come along on the journey with us! We could not do it without the support of such a brilliant, innovative community so THANK YOU
